You may be entitled to some financial help towards the funeral account from the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP).

This is usually if there is no estate to cover the funeral costs and dependant on personal circumstances.

The payment will not usually cover all the costs of the funeral, The DWP will be able to assist with a claim form and the process should you wish.
